It is said that when one door closes another opens but we
stare so long at the closed door that we miss the opportunities of the opened door.
Don’t
let your past trap you. It only leads to bitterness, unforgiveness,
blaming people, learned helplessness and feeling like a victim all the time! I
speak from personal experience when I say all these things limits you and makes
it impossible to see the countless opportunities before you!
What is in your past that you cannot let go?
Look at
Lots wife when God was taking them to a better place he warned them don’t look
back and she did turning into a bitter pillar of salt. Look at the children of Israel
when God had rescued them out of Egypt with great miracles they couldn't see
the great opportunities before them as a result they spent 40 years in the wilderness
wondering.Your trials in your past are there to make you stronger, wiser
and full of faith. Let these be the only things that you take from it.
Apostle Paul encouraged us not to be confounded by the past said "
count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" Philippians
3:13.
Today God has opened a new door in your life. Forget the old door
and all its calamities and reach forth for the better future God
has in store for you. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;
shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in
the desert. Isaiah 43:19
