YOUR FAITH MUST STAND TRIAL

What I have come to fully understand and acknowledge about Christianity is Your faith must stand trial!
Your faith must stand trial! Many at times as Christians, when we see others going through hard times we seem to blame them or think their faith is not strong enough. Take the story of Job instead of his friends to console or help him. They came to castigate and blame him. Even his own wife who swore to stand by him was the first to desert him.

Your faith must stand trial! As a Christian you have to be able to endure a fiery trial and show to God that you are there not just for the good times but for the bad as well.

Your faith must stand trial! The bible says in Revelation 12:11 and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony. If your faith doesn’t stand trial how on this earth will you have the testimony to overcome? My mentor reminded me recently that the just shall live by faith Heb10:38. Live by faith! Trust in the lord with that abundant faith thatall things worketh for the good of those that love the lord Romans 8:28. Like in Job in Job 13:15 Say though he slay me, yet will i trust in him.
I have a personal testimony today, in this particular week on this particular day, in this particular hour, God lifted me. My faith had stood the greatest trial of all time.It was my greatest battle. I didn’t begin as seeing it as a trial of faith. I was bitter,I was angry at God but when I met my mentor and I started to pray. My attitude took a different turn. I decided to wait upon the Lord. In waiting on him, I grew stronger. The bible says in Isaiah 40:31 yet those who wait for the lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. I counted it all joy as James 1:2-8 said my brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. I let patience have its perfect work the hot headed Dentaa was no more. She was calm waiting patiently on the lord. looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith Hebrews 12:2.
Many a things were said, I heard things about me I even I could not believe myself. Many of the people I trusted and loved had begun to mock me. They thought it was all over! Even the person that was supposed to be closest to me I saw in his eyes that he had forsaken me and believed the words of my enemies. Just when I thought I could take it no more, I struggled out of bed but with an attitude of Gratitude, I forgave all that had been done and I praised God and I had the greatest news of my life.

Whoever you are, where ever you ar, I share this very private personal testimony with you so that you know that you are coming out of that trial victorious! The lord has not forgotten you yet! Tell your adversaries wait until you see me next year you shall bow your head down in shame! God is going to restore me! Say to them I have lost nothing in this trial I have become stronger and mightier! It is going to take so much more for you to bring me down again!
Your faith must stand trial! Though the trials of Job come neigh thee they will not break thee look what the man job said "But He knows the way I take; When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold Job 23:10". And look what God did for Job the bible says So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning Job 42:12 And after he has tried you come forth as Gold shining brightly ready to tell the world what the Lord has done for you!

Sometimes life gets in the way of living

Sometimes life gets in the way of living. You can go through such trying circumstances that you forget who you are. There are things you may experience that can kill your spirit, faith and your identity. In losing hope you begin to lose yourself. You can forget everything, your strength, your hope, your self-esteem, your pride, your past achievements and you become what the circumstance says you are. For example if you are broke instead of thinking this is a temporary circumstance, you begin to think I am poor. If you have failed in an exam or in business you being to think I am a failure. If you have failed in your marriage you begin to think no man or woman will ever want me anymore.

You begin to doubt yourself and worst of all you become what the enemy, your accusers and what the devil says you are….you are not good enough, you are nothing special, your God has forgotten you……… Then you lie down and let life’s circumstances have its way. ……Get in the way of living, get in the way of who you are and what God has ordained you to do.

You should never forget who you are in Christ, the bible says in Psalm 139:14; YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE. Don’t let life or any other thing, person or circumstance tell you otherwise. Who said you are special? "THUS SAYS THE LORD, YOUR REDEEMER, AND HE WHO FORMED YOU FROM THE WOMB..." Isaiah 44:24.

Say to the enemy I can never be what you say I am! I am what God says I am! I am not a failure! I am not a debtor! I am not a sinner! I am not a gold digger!I am not an adulterer! I shall not be sad! I shall not despair! I shall not be humbled!

I AM BEAUTIFUL! I AM A SUCCESS! I AM A WINNER! I AM A SURVIVOR! I AM A CHILD OF GOD!  I AM HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS FOR GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED BEFOREHAND THAT I SHOULD WALK IN THEM" Ephesians 2:10
God will never forget you, even if you wanted him to. As a result of Christ’s death and resurrection see Galatians 3:14. These promise God made in Isaiah 44:21; to Jacob and Israel accrue also to us; REMEMBER THESE, O JACOB AND ISRAEL; FOR THOU ART MY SERVANT: I HAVE FORMED THEE; THOU ART MY SERVANT: O ISRAEL, THOU SHALT NOT BE FORGOTTEN OF ME.

After reading this today walk with your head held high! Tell your enemies, tell life and all its circumstances. You shall not get in the way of the life God wants me to lead. I shall not forget who I am in Christ. He has not finished with me yet! You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose for me in my life will prevail. As he said in Proverbs 19:21; MY PURPOSE WILL STAND, AND I WILL DO WHAT PLEASES ME. And it pleases God that you shall live the best life.

Inspiration for the week.....Jesus the ultimate healer

Searching For Sanity, Finding Peace

GOSPEL FOR ASIA
He had a clean bill of health and a beautiful bride. Everyone thought Kulik was finally settling down. But it wasn’t long before this village menace was at it again.
For years, Kulik had been afflicted by a mental illness that caused him to steal things and plague his neighbors with trouble. They mostly left him alone, believing that time and space would heal him, but when he continued to harm and frighten people, they sent him to a mental facility.
For a while, it seemed to be just what Kulik needed. He improved over time, fulfilling his responsibilities and earning the approval of everyone at the hospital.
When Kulik came home, his parents thought he must be ready to take on some bigger responsibilities, like marriage. After they arranged his marriage to the girl next door, though, Kulik started returning to his old ways.
New Responsibilities Coincide with Relapse
Kulik would get angry at his wife, Neela, and then disappear. Neela and the other villagers would spend months searching for him, even putting notices in the newspaper. Kulik, however, only returned when he felt like it.
As these extended absences continued, his 80-year-old mother took full responsibility for Neela and their two sons. When he became physically abusive, though, Neela drew a line, and Kulik’s world began to change.
In a culture where a married woman normally doesn’t return home—even to escape abuse—Neela’s family made an exception. She moved out and Kulik was left to deal with his own problems.
A local pastor, Sachetan, knew that only if Kulik trusted Jesus would he find healing for his illness and for his marriage, but Kulik was closed off to others’ advice.
For four years, he pushed away those closest to him, and when his youngest son died, Kulik’s parents didn’t even go to the funeral. After that, they cut him off entirely, leaving Kulik utterly alone—except for Pastor Sachetan.
Hunger for Hope Drives Man to Jesus
With nothing left to lose, Kulik went back to Pastor Sachetan and asked to hear the message he had ignored so long ago. The pastor happily obliged. Kulik was hungry for even more, and decided to attend church the next Sunday.
Soon, he decided to follow Jesus, and as the other believers prayed, Kulik was completely healed from his mental illness.
Seeing the change in her husband, Neela returned with their remaining son and chose to follow Jesus, too.
Although no one thought they could be reunited, Neela and Kulik, with Christ as their example, forgave each other for everything. Filled with eternal hope, they now live together in peace.

Court Dismisses N2billion Assault Lawsuit Against Bishop Oyedepo

The judge says the application lacks merit as the slapped girl remains a ghost victim
Justice Ojo of the Ogun State High Court sitting in Ota has struck out the N2billion suit slammed on the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, for slapping a young lady during a church service in 2009.
Robert Igbinedion, a Lagos based lawyer who filed the suit on behalf of the young lady, had asked the court to award N2billion as 'general and exemplary damages' against the flamboyant pastor among other reliefs.
But delivering judgment Thursday morning, Justice  Ojo struck out the case, saying the application lacked merit on many grounds. He awarded a N20,000 cost against the applicant.
He said the girl, who was allegedly slapped, remained a ghost victim and that the applicant failed to prove that he attended the service where the girl was allegedly slapped.
Mr. Oyedepo was named the richest pastor in Nigeria last year by Forbes magazine with an estimated worth of over N20billion.
During the hearing of the case, Dele Adesina, counsel to Bishop Oyedepo, had complained to the court that they did not have a photograph and the video where the Bishop slapped the young lady.
Mr. Adesina had argued that there was nothing to show that the young lady who was slapped in the video – who had been dubbed ‘Miss Justice’ in the course of the suit - is a living person.
“There is nothing to show in the application that ‘Miss Justice’ is a living and existing person entitled to claim under the provisions of the 1999 Constitution,” Mr. Adesina said.
“We humbly submit that ‘Miss Justice’ is a fictitious person, not capable of being represented in court.
“For the applicant to establish that he is suing on behalf of another person, that person must be determinable and identifiable,” he added.
On his part, Mr. Igbinedion asked the court to grant him all his reliefs since the respondents, in denying that the young lady was slapped, had failed to help the court arrive at justice.
“The respondents rather chose to lay their defence on all imaginable legal technicalities without attacking or denying the several damaging allegations,” said Mr. Igbinedion.

The best advice you will ever get

Once a king called upon all of his wise men and asked them, ” Is there a mantra or suggestion which works in every situation, in every circumstances, in every place and in every time. In every joy, every sorrow, every defeat and every victory? One answer for all questions? Something which can help me when none of you is available to advise me? Tell me is there any mantra?”
All the wise men were puzzled by the King’s question. They thought and thought. After a lengthy discussion, an old man suggested something which appealled to all of them. They went to the king and gave him something written on paper, with a condition that the king was not to see it out of curiosity. Only in extreme danger, when the King finds himself alone and there seems to be no way, only then he can see it. The King put the papers under his Diamond ring.
Some time later, the neighbors attacked the Kingdom. King and his army fought bravely but lost the battle. The King had to flee on his horse. The enemies were following him. getting closer and closer. Suddenly the King found himself standing at the end of the road - that road was not going anywhere. Underneath there was a rocky valley thousand feet deep. If he jumped into it, he would be finished…and he could not return because it was a small road…the sound of enemy’s horses was approaching fast. The King became restless. There seemed to be no way.
Then suddenly he saw the Diamond in his ring shining in the sun, and he remembered the message hidden in the ring. He opened the diamond and read the message. The message was - ” THIS TOO SHALL PASS”
The King read it . Again read it. Suddenly something struck him- Yes ! This too will pass. Only a few days ago, I was enjoying my kingdom. I was the mightiest of all the Kings. Yet today, the Kingdom and all his pleasure have gone. I am here trying to escape from enemies. Like those days of luxuries have gone, this day of danger too will pass. A calm came on his face. He kept standing there. The place where he was standing was full of natural beauty. He had never known that such a beautiful place was also a part of his Kingdom.
The revelation of the message had a great effect on him. He relaxed and forgot about those following him. After a few minutes he realized that the noise of the horses and the enemy coming was receding. They moved into some other part of the mountains and were near him.
The King was very brave. He reorganized his army and fought again. He defeated the enemy and regained his empire. When he returned to his empire after victory, he was received with much fanfare. The whole capital was rejoicing in the victory. Everyone was in afestive mood. Flowers were being showered on King from every house, from every corner. People were dancing and singing. For a moment King said to himself,” I am one of the bravest and greatest King. It is not easy to defeat me. With all the reception and celebration he saw an ego emerging in him.
Suddenly the Diamond of his ring flashed in the sunlight and reminded him of the message. He open it and read it again: “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”.
He became silent. His face went through a total change -from the egoist he moved to a state of utter humbleness. If this too is going to pass, it is not yours. The defeat was not yours, the victory is not yours. You are just a watcher. Everything passes by. We are witnesses of all this. We are the perceivers. Life comes and goes. Happiness comes and goes. Sorrow comes and goes.
Now as you have read this story, just sit silently and evaluate your own life. This too will pass. Think of the moments of joy and victory in your life. Think of the moment of Sorrow and defeat. Are they permanent ? They all come and pass away.
Life just passes away. There is nothing permanent in this world. Every thing changes except the law of change. Think over it from your own perspective. You have seen all the changes. You have survived all setbacks, all defeats and all sorrows. All have passed away. The problems in the present, they too will pass away. Because nothing remains forever. Joy and sorrow are the two faces of the same coin. They both will pass away.
You are just a witness of change. Experience it, understand it, and enjoy the present moment - this too shall pass!

A Simple Approach to an Uncomplicated Life

By Joyce Meyer , Christian Post Guest Columnist

Do you ever feel like life is complicated?
It's talking to God without trying to impress Him with eloquent speech that isn't really from your heart. We need to pray simple prayers about everything so we won't stress out about anything. And we need to pray our way through the day, seeking God's help and asking Him to be involved in whatever we're doing.
As I've prayed about how to simplify my life, God has revealed several ways to approach life that have made a big difference for me. One of them is praying for discernment about what I need to deal with and what I need to leave alone.
Another approach I've learned to take is clearing out the clutter. I believe one reason people get frustrated and overwhelmed is because they have piles of stuff everywhere they look. And our surroundings affect us more than we realize.
It's not supposed to be complicated. Jesus gave His life so we could have joy, not complicated and frustrated lives. And complication steals joy and creates frustration.

I have a lot going on, and it can become complicated if I let it. We have hundreds of employees and travel around the world…I have books to write and speaking engagements… It's hard sometimes to enjoy it all.

Life is probably not going to change, but I've learned that I can change my approach to it. And I'm determined to enjoy my life and not be frustrated all the time.

Simplicity is a key to avoiding complication. Part of the definition of simplicity is "not complex or complicated; sincere."
Sincere Prayer Is Simple Prayer
Proverbs 3:5,6 (NKJV) says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
I Had to Change My Approach
Before I learned this, I was a first-class nag. I had to know everything that was going on, and I usually had to give my opinion about it all. For example, if my kids were doing something and I didn't like how they were doing it, I had to "correct" them, even if it was something that didn't really matter. And if Dave was on the phone in another room, I wanted to go in there to hear what he was talking about.

I remember a time years ago when Dave and I had meetings at our house with our secretary. I had my meeting first and when we were done, Dave wasn't ready to meet with her yet. So I left the room to go take a bath, but I really wanted to hang around and hear what they talked about.

When I got in the bathtub, I heard their voices through the floor vent but couldn't make out what they were saying. Well, curiosity got the best of me, and I actually got out of the tub and on the floor by that vent, trying to hear what was going on. It was ridiculous!

Thank God I've learned how to determine what I really need to deal with and how to let the rest go. My life is so much better! Now I give God the chance to deal with things and then tell me if I need to do anything. Because the truth is, I don't have to be involved in everything that's going on.
Getting Clutter Out of the Way
Some people have a hard time getting rid of stuff. If that's you, pray for God to give you the courage to get rid of things you don't really need or things He wants you to give away. This will help keep your surroundings organized and clutter free.
If you're struggling with a complicated, frustrating life, change your approach. Pray about it. As you trust God and acknowledge Him in all your ways, He will show you just what to do.

Islamists Kill 17 Christians During Kenya Worship

(Reuters/Joseph Okanga )
Suspected members of the Islamic radical group, Al-Shabaab, attacked two churches and killed 17 Christians in Garissa, Kenya on Sunday.
The attacks took place during Sunday morning worship services.
“Many people were injured and rushed to Garissa Provincial hospital. More people might die as they undergo treatment,” says Ibrahim Magunyi, pastor of the East Africa Pentecostal Church.
The Islamists killed two policemen guarding the African Inland Church before entering the church. Then they threw grenades at the Christian worshipers and shot at them, killing 15 members of the church, according to a report from International Christian Concern (ICC). In an apparently coordinated attack, the Islamists also threw grenades at the town’s Roman Catholic Church.
“We have written previously of Al-Shabaab's infiltration of Kenya and are extremely saddened by these killings of the Christian worshipers. The actions of the Islamists show their complete disregard for human life,” says Jonathan Racho, ICC’s regional manager for Africa.
“We urge Kenyan authorities to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Kenyan authorities must understand that they are sitting on a powder keg—especially in Eastleigh and in towns near the border with Somalia—and go after Al-Shabaab or all their citizens, not just Christians will be subject to attacks.”

Worship music- Dr. Bernard Blessing

I just love this worship song so much it has been a stable in my morning devotions for the past year and it has opened the doors of heaven on my behalf.
